Action Day at the Capitol & Legislative Training

- Hear how Arizona Legislators plan to deal with the continuing HUGE budget shortfall.
- Learn what disability issues AZDAC will be tracking this legislative session.
- Join us to be introduced on the floor of the House and the Senate.
- Observe the Legislature in action.
- Learn how you can testify on bills from anywhere you have internet capabilities through the Legislative electronic system.
- While at the Capitol, register to use the “Request to Speak” system.
- Box lunch provided.

Mark your calendar so you can plan an enjoyable weekend or mini-vacation In Tucson, Arizona. You can combine information gathering on blindness or visual impairment resources with attending outings that are being planned or with just taking pleasure in using the amenities of the hotel.
The Arizona Council of the Blind is delighted to announce that our 2012 AzCB Conference and Convention will take place from April 19 to 21, 2012.

Program schedule:
Thursday: For the early arrivers, there will be options for social activities at the Gas Light Theater on Thursday Evening, which is being arranged by the Southern Arizona Chapter. In the hotel, the AzCB hospitality suite will be open so you can chat with other guests and AzCB Officers and Directors.
Friday: On Friday morning, there is a continental breakfast followed by the general session, a luncheon and informational programs and workshops. On Friday evening, you will appreciate the highly anticipated AzCB annual Awards and Scholarship Banquet.
Saturday: After the breakfast and the business meetings in the morning, participants explore Tucson or participate in other planned activities.
Registration will be open January 1, 2012.
